EMCC Market Report for April Bowling Green- Eastern Missouri Commission Company Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 03/03/2017 Receipts: 623 Week ago: 2698 Year ago: 877 Compared to last week, a very light test of steers weighing 600-750 lbs and several lots and groups of heifers weighing 450-725 lbs sold fully steady to firm. Demand was good on a light supply, as this week fed cattle trade had another good week of cash strength that helped to give support to the feeder cattle market. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher on another week of aggressive buying. Slaughter cows accounted for near 25 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply included 34 percent steers and bulls, 66 percent heifers and near 33 percent weighing over 600 lbs. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 600-700 lbs 140.00-148.50; 700-750 lbs few 128.50-135.50, few 750-800 lbs 122.50-124.50; few 825-835 lbs 119.75-120.25.
