Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 04/07/2017
Receipts: 1077 Week Ago: 827 Year Ago: 2476
Compared to last week, a light test of feeders sold with a weak to
slightly lower undertone with several bunches and packages of new-crop
un-weaned fleshy calves in the offering selling with moderate demand.
Slaughter cows accounted for near 30 percent of the total receipts and
sold mostly steady. Feeder supply included 57 percent steers and bulls,
43 percent heifers and near 60 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 pkg 498 lbs 175.50; pkg 645 lbs 145.50,
fleshy 625-650 lbs 134.00-137.00, lot 685 lbs 139.50; 700-800 lbs 128.00-135.00;
pkg 805 lbs 126.00. Medium and Large 1-2 pkg 290 lbs 180.00; pkg 390 lbs
177.00; 400-500 lbs 161.00-173.50; 500-550 lbs 154.50-165.00; 600-700 lbs
