Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 05/03/13

Compared to last week special feeder calf and yearling sale, steers and
heifers not well tested, comparable sales 5.00-10.00 lower. Demand light on
feeders, quality not very attractive to buyers, and moderate on cows. Supply
moderate on a cow special, near 40 pct cows, mostly pairs, weigh cows, few bred
cows and small packages of feeder calves, several unweaned and bulls.
Slaughter cows compared to last week, steady to firm.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 small pkg 495 lbs 160.00; small packages
500-600 lbs 142.50-156.00; few pkgs 600-630 lbs lbs 131.00-140.00. Medium and
Large 1-2 few pkgs 475-550 lbs 150.00-159.00; 600-700 lbs 134.75-140.50, thin
