Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 07/15/2016

   Friday's sale was a bred cow special with a light offering of feeder cattle
selling mostly in small packages, odds and singles sold with a lower undertone
on a very light test.  Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 lower.  Cattle futures
remain on the volatile side this week with lower fat cattle in the works has put
pressure on the feeder cattle market.  Replacement cows and slaughter cows
accounted for near 60 percent of the total receipts.  The feeder supply was 61
percent steers and bulls, 39 percent heifers and 34 percent over 600 lbs.
     
 
   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 few 400-500 lbs 160.00-162.50; 500-600
lbs 141.00-154.50; 600-700 lbs 141.00-150.00; 750-800 lbs 134.50-135.50.                
 
  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 few 335-400 lbs 154.00-165.00; 500-550
lbs 140.00-147.00; few 550-600 lbs 129.50-130.50; 600-700 lbs 128.50-141.00; pkg
