Bowling Green- Eastern Missouri Commission Company Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 07/29/2016 Receipts: 822 Week ago: 467 Year ago: 1299 Compared to the previous auction from two weeks ago, the best test was on 500-700 lb steers selling with a firm to slightly higher undertone with heifers trading mostly steady on a light test. Cattle futures have trended higher over the past week giving support to the market as well as last week's positive Cattle on Feed Report. Slaughter cows accounted for near 12 percent of the total receipts and traded 2.00-5.00 higher. Feeder supply consisted of 56 percent steers and bulls, 44 percent heifers and 65 percent weighing over 600 lbs. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 400-450 lbs 183.00-189.00; 500-600 lbs 159.75-167.50; 600-700 lbs 151.25-159.50; few 700-750 lbs 142.50-147.50. Medium and Large 1-2 few 400-500 lbs 160.50-172.00; 500-550 lbs 154.00-158.00; 600-650 lbs 153.00-158.00, 650-700 lbs 142.00-145.50; 750-800 lbs 135.50-139.00; pkg 820 lbs 130.50.
