over 450 lbs sold 4.00-6.00 higher on comparable sales, under 450 lbs traded
fully steady to firm on a light test. Yearling feeders continue to see the most
aggressive buying as prices continue to hold near record highs while calves that
are weaned and have a vaccination program are selling with the best demand as
discounts are growing more severe for calves that are un-weaned, unvaccinated
and fleshy. Slaughter cows traded fully steady to firm with instances 2.00
higher on the high dressing cows. Receipts included near 15 percent cows with 2
percent slaughter steers and heifers. The feeder supply included 48 percent
steers, 52 percent heifers and near 52 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
