Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 09/07/2016

Feeder receipts very light this week with sales trading with a weak to lower
undertone as sales were mostly small packages, odds and singles. Receipts
remain light as many producers have plenty of grass and hay and are passing on
lower prices at this time. Supply and demand was light. Slaughter cows sold
mostly steady. Fed cattle trade again this week remains under pressure with a
few live sales this week at 102.00. Slaughter cows accounted for near 30
percent of the total receipts. Feeder cattle consisted of 76 percent steers and
bulls, 24 percent heifers and near 30 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 lot 645 lbs 128.00. Medium and Large 1-2
few 300-400 lbs 173.00-175.00; few 400-450 lbs 141.00-149.00, few 450-500 lbs
139.50-151.00; few 500-600 lbs 128.50-140.00; pkg 662 lbs 125.00, few fleshy
114.50-120.25; pkg 822 lbs 117.25.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 few 300-400 lbs 141.00-157.00; few 400-
