Bowling Green- Eastern Missouri Commission Company Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 09/02/2016 Receipts: 519 Week ago: 1579 Year ago: 291 Compared to last week's special a very light supply of mostly calves traded with a lower undertone weighing under 650 lbs. A few comparable sales of steers and heifer calves mostly 5.00-10.00 lower on 450-650 lbs. There were several small packages and small lots of unweaned soft calves selling with light to moderate demand. CME cattle futures continue to sell-off and cash fed cattle prices are at their lowest level since 2012 as most of the trade occurred on Tuesday with live prices at 110.00 and dressed sales at 175.00. Slaughter cows accounted for near 18 percent of the total receipts and sold mostly 1.00-3.00 lower. Feeder supply consisted of 64 percent steers and bulls, 36 percent heifers and near 42 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
