Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 9/01/2017
Receipts: 550 Week ago: 1386 Year ago: 515
Compared to last week, very light supply of feeder cattle this week with not
enough feeders of any one weight range to test the market with offerings mostly
in small lots and singles. Slaughter cows accounted for near 22 percent of the
total receipts and sold steady. Feeder supply consisted 57 percent steers and
bulls, 43 percent heifers and 33 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 300-400 lbs 195.00-201.00; few 450-500
lbs 177.00-179.00, fleshy 440-500 lbs 170.00-173.00; few 500-550 lbs 172.00-
173.50; lot 740 lbs 144.00; pkg 872 lbs 137.50. Medium and Large 1-2 pkg 370
lbs 182.00; pkg 575 lbs 157.00; few 600-635 lbs 145.50-156.50; pkg 858 lbs
133.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 few 300-400 lbs 171.00-178.00; 400-450 lbs
