Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 11/02/12

Light offering of steer and heifer calves weighing under 600 lbs and a few
sales of yearlings traded mostly steady on a few comparable sales when compared
to last week’s larger receipts. A nice offering of slaughter cows sold fully
steady. Demand was good despite a small offering of calves as receipts were
light. Slaughter cows accounted for near 45 percent of the total receipts. In
the feeder cattle offering steers accounted for 37 percent, 63 percent heifers
and near 65 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
