Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 12/01/2017
Receipts: 1815 Two Weeks ago: 1230 Year ago: 2008
Compared to two weeks ago, steer calves under 700 lbs and heifer calves under
600 lbs sold mostly steady on comparable sales with steers over 700 lbs and
heifers over 600 lb trading with a weak to lower undertone with few comparisons
to two weeks ago. Demand was moderate with supply moderate. Slaughter cows
sold steady to 2.00 higher. Friday's sale consisted of many small packages and
groups with a large percentage of calves unweaned or short weaned and carrying
flesh. Slaughter cows accounted for near 16 percent of the total receipts.
Feeder supply consisted of 62 percent steers and bulls, 38 percent heifers and
46 percent weighing over 600 lbs.

173.50-177.00, 550-600 lbs 163.50-174.50; 600-700 lbs 155.00-165.00, lot thin
