Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 01/06/2017
Receipts: 862 Week ago: 485 Year ago: 1395
Friday's auction had a light test of feeder cattle that traded with a higher
undertone with no recent comparison. Mostly all calves weighing 450-700 lbs
sold with good demand with several lots and packages of good quality calves.
Slaughter cows accounted for 30 percent of the total receipts and sold firm to
3.00 higher. Feeder supply included 59 percent steers, 41 percent heifers and
near 48 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 163.00-170.00; 500-550 lbs
154.00-162.50, 550-600 lbs 145.00-153.00; 600-700 lbs 130.00-138.50, fleshy
125.00-125.25; 750-800 lbs fleshy 123.00-128.25; 800-850 lbs fleshy 118.25-
122.00. Medium and Large 1-2 few 300-350 lbs 173.00-174.00; few 400-450 lbs
