Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 01/04/2019
Receipts: 637 Two Weeks Ago: 858 Year ago: 953
Friday's auction had a very light offering of feeder cattle that were
not well tested selling in small packages and singles with demand light
to moderate. Slaughter cows accounted for near 30 percent of the total
receipts and sold mostly 4.00-7.00 higher than the last auction two weeks
ago. Feeder cattle consisted of 42 percent steers and bulls, 58 percent
heifers and 40 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 few 425-500 lbs 165.00-180.00;
500-600 lbs few 158.00-167.50; 645-700 lbs few 128.50-136.00; pkg 780 lbs
130.50. Medium and Large 2 lot 622 lbs 122.50.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 lot 605 lbs 142.50. Medium and
Large 1-2 300-400 lbs 151.00-159.00; 450-500 lbs few 139.00-140.00; 500-
550 lbs 140.50-144.00, 550-600 lbs 120.50-136.00, fleshy 106.00-115.50;
