Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 02/03/2017
Receipts: 703 Week ago: 3150 Year ago: 787
A very light offering of feeder cattle this week compared to last week's
heavy offering, with a very light test of steer calves under 550 lbs and 4
weight heifers selling with a steady to firm undertone with all other weights
not tested. Slaughter cows sold fully steady to firm. Offerings were mostly
small packages and singles selling with moderate demand. Slaughter cows
accounted for near 22 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply consisted of
47 percent steers and bulls, 53 percent heifers and near 35 percent weighing
over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 400-450 lbs 166.00-177.00; few 450-500
lbs 165.00-170.00; 500-550 lbs 155.00-160.00, 550-600 lbs pkg 590 lbs 143.50,
fleshy 135.00-137.00; 600-700 lbs 130.50-141.50; pkg 798 lbs 124.50. Medium and
Large 1-2 350-400 lbs 172.00-185.00; pkg 445 lbs 159.00; few 500-550 lbs
148.00-150.50; 600-700 lbs 128.50-131.00; 700-750 lbs 126.50-129.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 few 400-450 lbs 139.00-149.00; 550-600 lbs
128.00-131.00; few 600-650 lbs 122.50-123.00, pkg fleshy 615 lbs 121.00; pkg
