Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 05/30/14
Receipts: 732 Week ago: 1695 Year ago: 746
Compared to last week, light supply of feeder steers and heifers mostly
steady. Demand moderate to good. Supply light, mostly small packages of
calves and two-pot loads of 800-900 lbs heifers, near 22 pct steers and bulls,
46 pct heifers, 23 pct cows, 9 pct slaughter steers and heifers and 17 pct
mostly heifers over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 higher most advance
on lean offerings.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 small pkgs 400-500 lbs 236.00-241.00;
pkg 550 lbs 231.00 and pkg 600 lbs 219.00. Medium and Large 1-2 small pkgs
525-600 lbs 211.00-221.00; few 700-775 lbs 182.00-188.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 small pkgs 350-400 lbs 234.00-238.00;
400-500 lbs 211.00-232.00; 500-525 lbs 203.00-218.00. Medium and Large 1-2
pot-load 801 lbs 158.25 and pot-load 886 lbs 152.10.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 213.00-236.00.
