Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 05/18/2017
Receipts: 1379 Week ago: 2139 Year ago: 1342
Friday's auction was a Special Bred cow and heifer sale with near 70
percent of the receipts replacement and slaughter cows. There was consignment
of over 100 head of reputation Red/Blk AngSim cross heifers to calve in the fall
from the Deer Creek Cattle Co from Clarksville, Mo. along with a nice offering
young cow pairs and bred cows all selling with moderate to good demand.
Slaughter cows on a nice offering sold steady to firm. Light receipts of feeder
cattle were very lightly tested with no comparison with the supply mostly new
crop calves selling in small packages with the exception of a pot load of 815 lb
steers all selling with moderate demand. Feeder supply consisted of 70 percent
steers and bulls, 30 percent heifers and near 48 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 few fleshy 500-550 lbs 161.00-163.00; 625-
640 lbs claves 142.50-145.00. Medium and Large 1-2 pkg 410 lbs 180.50; 500-550
lbs few 164.00-168.00, 550-600 lbs 150.50-160.25; pkg 635 lbs 147.25; pot load
815 lbs 140.70. Medium and Large 2 pkg 358 lbs 184.00; 450-500 lbs 165.00-
166.00; pkg 515 lbs 151.50, pkg 575 lbs 143.50.
