Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 05/13/22
Receipts: 1396 Week ago: 611 Year ago: 1717
Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves weighing 400-600
lbs sold with a higher undertone on a light test with two weeks ago, 600-
800 lbs sold with a firm undertone and two pot loads of 1000 lb steers
were not tested but sold with a firm to higher undertone. Feeder heifer
weighing 400-600 lbs had the best test trading 3.00-7.00 higher and over
600 lbs sold with a firm undertone. Slaughter cows on a light offering
traded steady. Demand was moderate to good on a moderate supply wit the
best demand on the 400-600 lb steers and heifer calves. Two pot loads of
heavy weight yearling steers weighing 1020-1040 lbs sold with good demand
as did a pot load of 690 lb heifers.

Compared to last week, a very light run of feeders this week were not
tested as rain fell throughout the trade area all week making very muddy
conditions. A nice offering of Slaughter cows sold fully steady to
firm.

158.50-167.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 pkg 365 lbs 164.00; few 425-450
