Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 08/27/2021
Receipts: 921 Week ago: 726 Year ago: 1280
Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers weighing 650-
750 lbs sold firm to 2.00 higher, all other steer calves were lightly
tested. Feeder heifers had the best test on 600-750 lbs selling 2.00-
5.00 higher with the most advance on the 7 weights. Slaughter cows sold
steady. Demand was good on a light to moderate offering, with a good
quality offering of 650-750 lb steers and 600-750 lb heifers all selling
on and active market.

lbs 165.00-172.00; 700-750 lbs 160.75-166.50; pkg 838 lbs 153.50. Medium
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs few 178.00-181.50; few 500-550 lbs 177.00-

Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 08/20/2021
Receipts: 726 Week ago: 1960 Year ago: 854
Cow special this week with only some small packages of calves and yearlings,
and nothing to compare with last weeks feeder special. Several consignments of
bred cows and a few lots of cow/calf pairs offered as well met with good demand.
The top end replacement cows consisting of packages of either second or third
period cows sold from 1400.00 to 1925.00 per head. Slaughter cattle and cows
steady. Cattle futures traded sharply higher on Friday and continue to signal
much higher prices for cattle this fall.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 scarce
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 pkg 465 lbs 161.00; 500-600 lbs
few 143.00-`149.00; pkg 660 lbs 140.00; pkg 860 lbs 126.50.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 scarce

Receipts: 1960 Week ago: 660 Year ago: 1933
Compared to the last special three weeks ago, the best test on steers
weighed 650-750 lbs trading 2.00-7.00 higher, with the 500-650 lbs steers
and over 750 lbs all selling with a firm to higher undertone on light
comparisons. Feeder heifers weighing 500-650 lbs sold with a sharply
higher undertone with few good comparisons. A nice offering of feeder
cattle sold on Friday's market with the bulk of the feeders weighing over
600 lbs and selling on and active market. Slaughter cows sold steady to
firm, spots 2.00 higher on the high dressing cows.
