Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 11/03/2017

Compared to last week, a light test of steer and heifer calves weighing under
650 lbs sold mostly steady on comparable sales. With mostly unweaned/short
weaned calves in the offering, selling in small groups and packages. Demand was
moderate with supply light to moderate. Slaughter cows traded steady on a nice
offering. Fed cattle prices continue to climb higher trading mostly 6.00-9.00
higher than last week’s sharp gains with trade mostly 125.00. Slaughter cows
accounted for near 22 percent of the total receipts. Feeder supply included 58
percent steers and bulls, 42 percent heifers and near 40 percent weighing over
600 lbs.

193.00; 500-600 lbs 165.00-175.00; 600-650 lbs 160.00-164.00, 650-700 lbs calves
