Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 12/30/2016
Receipts: 485 Two Weeks ago: 1719 Year ago: No Sale
Feeder cattle supply was very limited with mostly small packages and singles
in the offering but on a few limited sales traded with a steady undertone with
two weeks ago. Demand was light to moderate on light sales. Slaughter cows
accounted for near 40 percent of the total receipts. Slaughter cows traded
3.00-5.00 higher. Feeder cattle supply consisted of near 41 percent steers, 58
percent heifers and 35 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 few 400-450 lbs 144.00-153.00; 450-500
lbs 134.00-147.00; 500-600 lbs 125.50-136.50; 600-700 lbs 120.50-126.50; 725-770
lbs few 120.25-126.50; pkg 845 lbs 125.50.
