Receipts: 1435 Week Ago: 1855 Year ago: 2110
Compared to last week, steer calves weighing 500-700 lbs sold steady
to 2.00 higher with 700-800 lbs trading steady on a few comparable sales
and 2 pot loads of 9 weight yearling steers selling with a firm
undertone. Feeder heifers weighing 500-700 lbs sold steady to 5.00
higher with weights over 600 lbs not tested. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-
4.00 lower with most decline on the average to lean cows. Demand was
moderate to good with supply moderate. Overall quality on calves was
good with quality on heifer calves this week much improved over last
week.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 325-350 lbs 190.00-199.00; 500-
550 lbs 157.50-165.00, 550-600 lbs 150.00-155.50; 600-700 lbs 140.00-
150.50, unweaned/fleshy 135.00-139.00; 700-750 lbs mostly calves 138.25-
