Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 07/06/2018
Receipts: 531 Two Weeks ago: 1702 Year ago: 773
A very light run of feeder cattle for Friday's auction had no recent
comparison for any weight range for feeders. Supply was mostly singles
and small packages and average quality with demand moderate and supply
light. Slaughter cows accounted for near 33 percent of the total
receipts and traded steady, with slaughter steers and heifers accounting
for 15 percent and feeders 52 percent. Feeder supply consisted of 47
percent steers, 53 percent heifers and 64 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 few 500-600 lbs 158.00-160.00;
600-650 lbs 139.00-149.00; 700-760 lbs 130.00-138.00; 800-850 lbs 125.00-
131.00. Medium and Large 2 pkg 475 lbs 160.00; pkg 570 lbs 144.50.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 pkg 360 lbs 151.00; 435-470 lbs
few 140.00-147.00; 500-600 lbs 130.50-143.50; 600-700 lbs 128.50-130.00;
