Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 08/17/12

Compared to last week's special, a light test of feeder cattle sold mostly
steady on a few light comparable calf sales. Supply was light with mostly
singles and small packages being sold. Feeder supply included 36 percent steers
and bulls, with 64 percent heifers and near 69 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
Slaughter cows were near 40 percent of total receipts. Slaughter cows traded
fully steady to 2.00 higher.

Few 141.50-147.50; few 635-675 lbs 134.50-138.00; few 725-775 lbs 127.25-132.75;
